Tioga County Senior Citizens Foundation announces its distribution of $52,100 released into the area to aid older citizens. Grants for 2020 were made to non-profit organizations that serve older adults in Tioga County, NY. Tioga County Senior Citizens Foundation has followed its mission to grant annual funding to groups and organizations that provide direct help to the local senior population since its beginning in 1982. Including this year’s donation, the Foundation has now awarded nearly 2.2 million dollars toward projects and services benefitting senior citizens.
Despite being unable to fulfill all requests this year, because of limited funding and the uncertainty experienced recently, the fifteen volunteer directors of the Foundation name the following recipients in the 2020 competitive grant process:
