Tioga Opportunities program supported by Senior Citizens Foundation grant

Tioga Opportunities, Inc.’s Dept. of Aging announces that it is the recipient of a $15,000 grant from the Tioga County Senior Citizens Foundation for 2016.

Programs offered through the Dept. of Aging will benefit from this gift, including Home Delivered Meals, Personal Emergency Response Systems and the Senior Scoop newsletter. Many older adults in our county depend on these services to help them remain safe and independent in their own homes, and keep up-to-date on the latest news and events. Tioga Opportunities, Inc. has served as the Tioga County Office for the Aging for 40 years, and depends on the generous support of local foundations such as the Senior Citizens Foundation to meet the needs of the county’s seniors.

Tioga Opportunities, Inc. would like to thank the Senior Citizens Foundation for the generous grant which will aide in the continuing vital services to older adults in Tioga County. Local support such as this grant assists in the provision of services that make an important difference in the lives of many people in the community.
